* ARM11: revert etmr/etmw commandsDavid Brownell2009-11-131-83/+0
| | | | | | | These aren't desirable, given "standard" ETM support. Also remove the now-unused arm11_find_target(). Signed-off-by: David Brownell <dbrownell@users.sourceforge.net>
* ARM11: switch to new "arm" base typeDavid Brownell2009-11-131-32/+28
| | | | | | | | | | This will enable reusing many common ARM utilities, in particular the ETM and ETB support. The ARM11 support can still be much simplified after this patch, though. Note: none of those common utilities kick in yet... Signed-off-by: David Brownell <dbrownell@users.sourceforge.net>
* target: remove unused "bitfield" infrastructureDavid Brownell2009-11-131-6/+21
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | We have too many different registers, and too many version and context dependent interpretations, for this type of bitfield management to be scalable. (Anyone who really wants bitfield interpretation *can* do that in Tcl code...) There are ... quite a few copies of the same ARM dummy registers. There should eventually be one copy; this many is craziness. Signed-off-by: David Brownell <dbrownell@users.sourceforge.net>

* jtag_tap_t -> struct jtag_tapZachary T Welch2009-11-131-1/+1
| | | | | Search and destroy the jtag_tap_t typedef. This also cleans up a layering violation, removing the declaration from types.h.
* use CALL_COMMAND_HANDLER instead of direct callsZachary T Welch2009-11-131-3/+4
| | | | | | By using CALL_COMMAND_HANDLER, parameters can be reordered, added, or even removed in inherited signatures, without requiring revisiting all of the various call sites.
* use COMMAND_HELPER for command helper functionsZachary T Welch2009-11-131-3/+2
| | | | | Define the numerous helpers that inherit command handler parameters using the COMMAND_HELPER macro.
* use COMMAND_HANDLER macro to define all commandsZachary T Welch2009-11-131-5/+4

* arm11: add etmr/etmw registers to access ETM via DBGTAP scan chainMichael Bruck2009-11-101-0/+61
| | | | | | | | First cut of these commands. Øyvind tinkered a bit with the number parsing to bring it up to speed + rebased it. Ready for testing. Signed-off-by: Øyvind Harboe <oyvind.harboe@zylin.com>
* ARM11: remove old mrc/mcr commandsØyvind Harboe2009-11-101-102/+0

* Add private header for ARM11 internals.Zachary T Welch2009-11-081-0/+1
| | | | | | | Reduces confusion about location of associated routines and reduces clutter in the arm11 header. Removes extra whitespace around the lines touched by these changes.
* ARM11: remove exports and forward declsZachary T Welch2009-11-081-109/+138
| | | | | Unneeded exports cause confusion about the module interfaces. Make almost everything static in the arm11.c module.

* target: remove unused interface fn that clutters codeØyvind Harboe2009-11-051-7/+0
| | | | | | | | | The quit entry point was not being invoked. Just a source of confusion at this point. XScale ran 100x reset upon quit, but that code made no sense, wasn't commented and never invoke. Signed-off-by: Øyvind Harboe <oyvind.harboe@zylin.com>
* portability updatesDavid Brownell2009-10-141-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | Based on some patches from <redirect.slash.nil@gmail.com> for preliminary Win64 compilation. More such updates are needed, but they need work. Compile tested on 64 and 32 bit Linuxes, and Cygwin. Signed-off-by: David Brownell <dbrownell@users.sourceforge.net>
